Flexible & remoteWith our team and clients located all around the world, we work remotely. We also work flexibly (both flexible hours and part time), adapting to work and life as we need to manage both.
Collaborative and connectedEven though we are remote, we are a very collaborative and connected team. We chat rather than email, jump on calls when we need to work together, and run online workshops to explore ideas. We design and develop in the open and can always pick up where someone left off if needed.
RespectfulOne of the things our Makers like most is how much we respect each other. We respect and value each other’s expertise. We respect our time. And when we need to have a discussion and make hard decisions, we can easily do it in a professional, respectful way.
Always learningWe are always up for learning something new, whether it’s an entirely new technology or a new way of working with clients. Our team are all forever learners and many are involved in conferences from all sides - as organisers, speakers and attendees.
Choose our own toolsWe know that we all work best when we can choose how we work. We have choice over our personal devices and setup. We work together to pragmatically choose the best tools and technology to work effectively as a team.
EthicsWe make deliberate decisions about the work we take on. We find a balance that allows us to run a financially sustainable business, try and have a positive impact on the world and draw a line on work that goes against our ethics. We continuously work with our people to help them work on engaging projects that align to their values.
We run what we call a principles-based organisation.
The idea is that instead of a complex and rigid set of policies, procedures and processes, we have a simple set of principles that our team can look at whenever they need to make a decision.
